Sunroof repair and maintenance

Started working on the Sunroof. Sunroof was squeeling when it would slide back and forth. Sounds like rubber on metal. Anyway I have removed the roof and would like to dismantle the rails, clean and lubricate them. Anyone have instructions on how to do this? Pics would be nice. I spent an hour searching this site and the internet but no joy.

If you can find the pages on headliner removal then you're halfway there. Once the headliner is out you can unscrew the rails from the roof. It's pretty straightforward. They're not only mounted with screws but there's also a rubber strip sealing and four (not so flexible) tubes for draining water.
Could be a good opportunity to take care of that sagging headliner if you have one.

Good deal. I managed to remove the seal no problem. Just used a wood chisel and pryed up gently all the way around. Now to grind out the rust and apply some rust bullet. I will tackle the rails after that. Will let you know
