Quick easy question. If I were to, say, have a pin-hole size fuel leak at part 11 (http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=HD22&mospid=47382&btnr=13_0232&hg=13&fg=15), would that cause a rough idle? ;)

Have you got a catalytic converter and 02 sensor? If you do then I doubt the leak would have any effect as it would be compensated by the DME.
A fuel leak, no matter how small, sounds like a fire risk though!
If the fuel pressure is low enough the idle would be effected. The leak would need to significant.
No question that hose needs to be changed.

Of course.

It has a cat and no O2 sensor.

If the fuel pressure dropped then yes! If not, then no.

I second the fire concern. Try pulling your dipstick and checking to be sure the O rings are tight. Loose O rings mean rough idle. Check for vacuum leaks in your rubber parts.
