Pictures usually help...as a general however:

There should be a cover around the border of the radio.....unclip it with a small flat-head screwdriver.

Then on each side of the radio, there should be a metal tab sticking out more than the rest. Put a flat head between the metal tab and the radio and pry away from the radio...do this on both sides at the same time and pull the radio out.

EDIT: Found the installation/removal manual...take a look:

Awesome. Thanks for the link. I checked out it. Here are the pics with & without the face plate. Except that I didn't see any metal tabs sticking out....

EDIT: I read it over and over. So I have to use a flat head screw driver or a bracket to detach the head unit from the dash. Should be easy to do as I have a habit of breaking things.....sometimes...

Super easy - that plastic frame pops off. Then you'll see a series of sliding latches on botht he left and right hand side. They hold the head gasket into a metal frame thats inside. Push them up and pull the head unit out prying it with a screw driver, it'll slide forward.

Alpine head units has simple latch... take the faceplate off... and look on the side of the headunit. you should see like a sliding latch... circular. Use a small screwdriver and slip it upward to release.
