Will a 740i oil pump fit a 530i?

I am looking to but a oil pump from a 93 740i to fit my 95 530i. The part numbers on real OEM are the same, I just wanted to Double check to see if someone knew for sure.

If the PN is the same, then they should work. The pickup tube might be different if the oil pan is different. If the oil pan and the oil pump are the same, they should work.

Where is the oil pick up located? I just want to make sure I am thinking of the correct thing, and yes it looks like the pans are the same from their PN.

Dan they are the same, everything in and on the engines are the same except piston bore and stroke.
