I hate to be the one to ask, but has anyone tried the Autozone shocks/struts for the 525? Don't like to be the first to experiment and they seem to good to be true at about 40$ or so...

Ever heard the old saying "You get what you pay for"? In this case, it applies. The e34 is very sensitive to suspension changes. I would recommend that you go with a good German shock: Boge, Sachs, or Bilstein. If you are feeling froggy, some folks have had luck with Konis.

I suspected as much - my good friends at BMA have fixed me up with Boge ;)
