Looking to improve the stereo system. I don't have good reception and was searching for different ways of improving it.

Fractal antenna ? Sounds like marketing mumbo jumbo to me. Not that it wouldn't work, but radio waves are radio waves, and an antenna is still an antenna.
I'll have to agree with the others on this : the shape wont do well on the car. That fin's made for curvier cars.

fractal antenna... I'm guessing that means it is a 1/16 wavelength antenna, but I would venture a guess that the OEM is a 1/4 wavelength.
bad receptio:, try changing the antenna amp, or changing the head unit.

also check out the connections to the wiring in the window. how does your rear defrost work?

It is not designed for FM/AM reception. The number one reason why BMW cars with aftermarket stereo don't work too well is because they left the antenna amplifier disconnected.

could you replace a sirius antenna with a shark fin? It looks way better than the black disc I have for the sirius antenna currently

I apparently haven't kept up with technology - the fractal antenna concept and application are real and in cell phone use (see picture near bottom)...

Another "invention" no one asked for.
And what is with these stupid things on the new BMs? Is it on display so the world knows you have navi? Ugly little warts they are.
