Hello,
Is there a specific brand to look for replacement ? I got some crazy quotes all over the range from $220.00 to $375.00. I know at least that I want some german OEM quality glass but as far a brand goes, I am not so sure...

Do you have comprehensive insurance? If yes, then your windshield is covered by insurance... check with them... and may only cost you $100... Sigla is BMW OEM glass.

If you don't go with the OEM glass, then go with PPG. It's a little harder and won't pit as bad as OEM. It's also less expensive. You need to make sure they have the proper clips for the window trim pieces.
