Just noticed this afternoon that when I switched off my headlights my radio Illumination dimmed momentarily ,just a drop when the switch was operated. Is this a clear symptom of some fault? Wiring in the CD changer cable I know is loose and the snap on Assembly for the main plug block has one side broken off so maybe the plug has worked its way slightly out? The real fear is that this is an alternator issue .This happened while the car was running and come to think of it I didn't test it when the engine wasn't running. The alternator was replaced about two years ago but that is actually perhaps 100,000 miles and when I recently had it up on a lift inspecting the leaks I saw the Alt was getting coated with oil from the Timing chain cover gasket leak... bet that's not too good for it huh?
