My 530i has developed what appears to be a fine mist of fluid spraying towards my left motor mount area. I've inspected the connections at the resorvoir and the banjo nuts that I can see on the oump and no leaks. SInce it's sort of a misty spray, is it a safe bet that it's the pressure hose?

Usually it starts where the hose is crimped onto the pipe. 2 options:
buy a complete new one from for example www.autohausaz.com
or
find a hydraulic shob which cuts off the old crimp sleeve, separates the the old hose and the steel tube, cuts a new hydraulic hose eaxtly to size, fits on the old pipe which always can be re-used with the connaction and which is actually the expensive part, put on a new crimp sleeve, uses a special crimping press and crimps it = ready to use again.

Some -I would say not so good hydraulic shops - just cut the pipe and connect a prefabricated hydraulic hose again.

Here is when we made my ones, cut the sleeve, removed old hose etc

Awesome info. Thanks man. I might have to fork out some extra $$ and have a shop do it. That hose looks like a PIA to get to.

It's a real PITA to do and you need to be very careful to make sure that the lines are bolted back with all the bolts holding them into place. And disconnect your battery before you start. The back of the alternator can come into contact with the metal on the lines and can cause a short plus all that CH11S is flammable. DAMHIK.
