How can u tell when clutch is going?

On my 540/6 i have noticed when u accelerate the car over revs in any gear. Shifts fine. I have never had a bad clutch before so i have no idea how it feels. Its 137,000miles. It will climb up to 5000 with no acceleration. If i modulate the throttle i can keep the car going. thanks

that's a bad clutch. ie stop driving it before you are buying a flywheel on top of a new PP disc and tob.

gone... odds are you are definitely damaging the dual mass flywheel if you keep driving it. I would park it.
