Hey, eveyone. I'm Paul (new here).
I just locked my keys in my car and I was woundering if anyone knows what options I have. I called my local dealership and they told me: VIN #, Registration (it is in the glove box!!!), licence plate #, +$40 and 1 week of waiting will get me a key, but I don't have that much time. Locksmith asked me $150 for the job.
What are my other choices?
Thanks a lot
1. AAA although i have heard that they no longer to that.. but you can ask
2. some police officers also have means of getting in.... just don't use 9-1-1
3. it involves a rock, and good insurance

AAA should do it, no problem.
Back in the day I used to just leave my key in the car and just carry around the remote. (it fits more snugly in the back pocket) One morning I was ready to leave for school but I had misplaced the remote. Then remembered they were in the pockets of the pants I wore the day before. Found the pants in the washer. Remote was shorted. For some reason I double locked it the night before too so AAA couldnt slim jim it. AAA got a locksmith over, no problem. I don't leave my key in the car anymore.

your car title will do in place of registration. but I got mine in 2 days for plain key. I think I paid $20 for that key.
