none of that crap is in sydney and i shudder to think to get different tyres and wheels for the cold season

I put winter tires on this season. Glad I did here in Central KY. Terrible ice storm with snow on top.

You just don't know what a difference it is until you try them, although ice is impossible even in snow tires sometimes.
I'm hoping Ross will give a review of his studded tires sometime, I think I might get some put on the next set if the car doesn't rust before the tires go.

isn't it like 40'C or something there now?
maybe you guys need hot season tires...

Actually, I gather you could maybe not install one. I should take a snapshot of a neighbour behind my appartment. He's got a temporary shelter going from his house and covering all the way up to the back alley. A strange setup, but I take it he's fed up of shovelling.
