Funny, I am short 1 friggin' o ring. Went ahead & got the new oil cooler. The one that came with the cannister had the screw in fittings & was generally beat; it'd look ok in Jeff's car.

I traded some spare parts to Walt for the canister. He got it for his e28 535; turns out there is an extra galley in the later e34's that is not present in the earlier m30b34 block.
I ordered new lines, hardware & cooler from our good friends at BMA.

possibly to install gauge senders? or are the fittings for the oil cooler send and return hoses?

They end in the bottom of the reservoir for the filter. They look to be good access for pressure senders.

I don't believe any mainstream sender will fit that. Most are M10x1.0 and M12x1.5. Got a solution for that coming up soon. :)

Of course, mine aren't tapped for that fitting.

The ETK diagram gives us false hope. The oil filter housing on most later M30s does not look like that.
