What is the labor time a repair shop should charge to R&R the automatic tranmission in my 1993 E34 525i (M50)? There is a standard book to calculate labor time on differnt jobs right?

i just had my gbox rebuilt. about 1k in labour costs and another 1,5k in parts

Its between 5.3 and 6.8 depending on what labor guide you use and if its r and r or remove and install... I'm guessing that r and r is to remove and replace the original trans and r and i is to remove and install a new or rebuilt model which may require more parts changing over.
