I have replaced the ICV and the car runs better but idles rough. Now the hose that goes from the manifold to the ICV keeps popping off. I have had it put back on by the shop once and myself twice...now today will be the third time. Why might this be happening and should or adjust my idle at all? I have a 92 525i and it idles at less than 1000. How do I adjust the idle?

DME adjusts the idle by controlling the ICV. It will compensate for all kinds of problems just to keep the motor running.
If you are having problems with idle, I’d check all the hoses first to make sure you don’t have a vacuum leak.
Clean the throttle body, feed the car some injector cleaner and possibly tune it up.

Mine idles at around 700rpm. Why do you want it to idle fast?
If the hose keeps coming off at the manifold end, 9 here may be broken:

Its a plastic clip affair that holds the hose in
