Front Pitman Arm

I'm planning to change the tie rod ends along with the center tie rod and the idle arm. bmwe34.net says that only the bushing on the idle arm is the part that wears and does not mention the pitman arm. Does the front pitman arm ever need to be replaced?

The pitman arm is just a piece of metal with two holes in it.
No bushings or ball joints.

Change the idler arm if you want.
