Well, it's the second time in two years. What can you expect from a 17 year old car. The first time was the front left tube that busted. Both front ones were replaced for good measure. Now it's at the back, right above the exhaust.
Both times happened after hard braking; the owner's manual suggests braking hard (like pedal to the metal) every now and again for maintenance of the discs, which I did.
Well, thankfully, I was not left without braking capacity, but much reduced braking capacity so I can at least limp back to my favourite mechanic.
These tubes are made of some kind of plastic, my friends, so have yours replaced if they have not been for more than 15 years - or less ?
