Does anyone have an idea of the weight of a complete m30 engine. I need one shipped from Adelaide to Sydney and I need to give the shipping company an approximation of the weight.

I dont imagine you are going to send it loose:D So can I suggest you make the shipping company aware of the gross weight (net + packaging) and the dimensions of the package. You dont want a price hike after it has been picked up. Also have a think about insurance in case they lose it or break it

I assume with all the attachments - not clear what you mean by complete - like alternator, starter, intake, throttle valve etc pp it will be close to 300 kgs.

I'm not sure what it will come either :( What I mean is, on my current motor, besides the block everything else seems okay. But whatever iget and not have I will use from my current setup.

I will use the 300kgs you outlined though. 300kg seems very heavy. Cheers :)

the small things make a big difference
-engine oil ?
alternator 7 kg
starter motor 4.5 kg
oil filter 1.5 kg
ignition wires 1.2 kg
distributor 0.6 kg
ignition coil 0.7 kg
fan clutch 1.0 kg
intake 6.5 kg
exhaust manifolds 6.4 kg
fan blade 0.7 kg
coolant hoses?

that you could get or not, but with 300 you are on the save side.

I have a crated M30 with all the accessories in other words the full engine minus the oil and it weighed out 345 pounds. Hope this helps
