I see the diagram on RealOEM, are two pumps used to clean the windshield? or is that just for the head lights?

My car has the intensive cleaning feature. It's a button on the washer stalk. I push it, and I get a continued burst on the windshield, and I think the lights. It is supposed to mix in a special cleaning detergent which is kept in a second tank that attaches on top of my primary washer tank. I don't fill it with anything other than regular fluid.

if you have intensive clean/headlight/foglight washers you'll have 3 pumps, one for the headlight foglight, one for the regular washers and one for the intensive, intensive just adds a stronger cleaner and sprays for longer

3 pumps or 2 pumps, depending on built year. One normal pump for the concentrate, the other one with 2 outlets and that turn clockwise and anti-clockwise and it pretty expensive.
Depending on the turning direction it is either for windshield or for headlights + foglights. At least on my E32 750, that has one big washwater tank with attached concentrate tank with the pump next to the shock mount, and the lower washwater tank behind right side headlights has the double acting pump.
