Uh, what makes this stuff so good? How strong is it?

Why is it better as a general purpose adhesive than silicone, or of Shoo Goo running shoe sole glop, which is very tough stuff?

epoxy putty I used gets hard, it is not like a glue, you can form shapes as you can see from my link above. I even used - after that stuff hardened- a small dremel and formed the shapes out of that putty.
Before you mix the 2 components they are both like a kind of chewing gum, mixing/kneading it makes it hot and when it gets cold it is stone hard and very strong.
Epoxy putty is a room-temperature-hardening substance used as a space-filling adhesive. It is stored until use as two components of clay-like consistency. Kneading the two components into each other creates an exothermic chemical reaction that activates the substance for use. When these are kneaded together an epoxide polymerisation reaction is catalysed. Unlike many other types of glues, epoxy adhesives are capable of filling gaps and even being used as a structural part by molding. If it moves and shouldn't, fix with duck tape (called that 'cos the backing is cotton duck, like in canvas). If it should move but doesn't, apply WD 40.
I've heard that Gorilla Tape is the hot setup now.

I'd find the local Wilsonart plastic laminate (Formica) distributor and get a tube of color matched silicone seam fill. They have about a hundred zillion colors to match most anything. You might be able to mix it with some other kind of clear silicone product and create life or something more adhesive. Use in a well ventilated area.
