Fixing everything else beforehand... once that's done, S/C is easy and turbos are probably erasier ;)

Don't think that installing turbo's is easier on an M60. I've yet to see someone offer a turbo setup for an M60. So you'd have to make everything yourself if you were going to turbo it.

Dinan used to sell a S/C kit. ESS still sells a S/C kit. Takes about 12 hours to install one.

+1 the bolt on is the easy part. Making sure everything else is up to snuff is the pain point. Was halfway ready to pull the trigger on a VF SC for the E39 540 but wasn't ready to do all the maintenance at once first!
