The weather is trying to break despite an inch of snow Saturday. Looking at tint options for the M-Sport. Anyone have any suggestions? Shade and type of tint?

Thanks RT...what kind of tint should she wear? Last year they passed a new Illinois tint law that allows 30-35% all around, except the windshield of course.

The fashion police said your car colour would look REALLY good with a light bronze tint :) !!!!

I am not sure re: tint. I am not super familiar with how each % affects the look of the glass.

Bronze huh? Hmmm, never gave it a thought....I was thinking about charcoals and the like....the Cosmos Schwartz Mettallic looks almost deep, deep, blue in the direct sun and looks like a turd on a cloudy day. =) But I never gave bronze a thought. It would be different that's for sure.

I sold it a couple years ago Mitch. But realizing there was something missing, I started looking for something to replace it and came across this M-Sport in the St. Louis area, so my son and I took a Saturday trip to take a look and lo and behold, we brought 'er home...

The M5 went to another enthusiast in the Springfield Illinois area.

JR, the car looks immaculate as ussual. Spring is upon us. I put the summers on the e60 and daughters e36, two more sets of snow to go!

Yeah, I never thought of Bronzit....hmmm. It certainly would be worth a photoshop before I did something I would rather not....some tints look like crap. Our Illinois laws are allowing 35% +/- 5%, just wondering what options there are out there.

Looking forward to a trip up to Chicago this summer and hope to see you and the rest of the gang. We have to start planning soon!

Hey Ed! Thanks for the kind words. Maybe all of us can get together this summer for a BMW BBQ?

Did you repair the M52? Oil seperator? I know they can be a pain, I've done a couple, an E39 M52 and an E60 M54. Now I'm looking at doing the pinion seal on Lori's E60, a transmission service, and a windshield....that one I'm farming out! =) Does it ever end???

Oh it’s all in the execution. Not a mirrored sunglasses effect, just a subtle tan tint to the glass.

And don’t get me started on Illinois law .... grr.

With Oktoberfest being in WI this year ... we should either avoid a conflict and do it early, or try to combine. All things considered, we are the E34 SIG.
