There is a poll going on Hallmark UK about who is the best detective. Its across Law & Order, SVU, Criminal intent etc. I reckon its Goran. No contest.
I admit I may have inadvertently voted for him more than once;) Have you had the same in the US and if so who won? Not that I'd run down to the bookies' with the info of course

Some interesting facts from the 70s that many carried into the 80s with considerable success:

Sense prevailed and Goren came in no.1. How you can include Fontana in the top 10 and exclude Green is beyond me. Of course none of them can compare with Frost, Rebus or the great man himself - Morse.
