I read that atf4 is a good replacement for dexron III users? I just want to make sure. Does it work with our power steering too?? It is thinner but is said that it still has the same friction properties as the dexron III...

Try doing a forum search for: Transmission oil.

Considering that the friction properties are generally not regarded as being the same as dexron, I wouldn't bother.

I wouldn't use atf+4 in your car, if you can find dexron/mercon then i would use castrol import atf which meets almost everybodies specs
