Bilstein Shock purchase-Need recommendations.

I bought Eibach port spring kit(drops front by 1.2" and rear by 1")

Bav auto recommends the bilstein sport shocks - part #(P36 3018)

Any recommendations with this shocks? Looking for lowest cost and so far found them for $124.

I have ordered from them on Bilsteins for another car... they are fast and cheap.

BMA wants $125 rear and $175 front!

I have bilstein sports and eibachs on my car - it's a great combination, the difference over stock is astounding.

That must be long ago... ebay completed listing for RDSport showed nothing sold in last 3 months. They have E32 lowering spring for $99! They also got E38 springs $119.

Yeah, it was late 09 when they had a ton of e34 stuff up.

picked up a set for the ///M and threw some Eibachs under there too

even got a rear spoiler for $35.

Might be worth an email to them to see if they have any deals left.

I should add what I buy since Bilstein offers twin tubes recently... I only buy monotube... only monotube shocks.

Koni is also monotube but adjustable...

I changed over to sachs boge turbo, think they renamed them since purchase. They are softer yet firmer when it gets aggressive hard to explain but I only busted one in 3 or 4 years where the billie's puked 3 in a year. The roads here are not all that kind and it does take better parts to keep up.

I couldn't agree more. Love the Koni Sport adjustable with Eibach. Sporty, tight, and very responsive with nice ride that you can live with as daily driver.

LOL, I love that 'turn of phrase' Jeff, "puke' and 'bust", its like the Aussie dollar atm LOL! I've got the red Sashs kit shocks with lowered springs on my 525, I believe they are really the M5 shocks, but the modern ones use progressive valving (as per the standard versions branded 'Automatic'; this is touted by auto makers as variable damping that adjsusts to suit the driving conditions/driver's actions) so turns what was a brilliantly tuned shock into a very responsive and intuitive brilliantly tuned shock. The Konis are great, but the Sashs reds are certainly up there if not better. To me they are the only ones to buy, the Billies are more 'agricultural'... I've never seen a broken one though... they sure seem competition-tough to me. Are you sure you didn't chop those ol' bump stops too much? ;)
