I was tooling around with the throttle assembly looking for leaks and I found this crusty rubber hose connected to a nozzle underneath.

It is part of the fuel breather system and connects to the evaporative purge valve, should be part #6 here.

It practically fell off the nozzle when I took it off so I replaced it with a length of fuel hose and the car runs just the same as before. (ie not bad)
Here is the old hose in action, right next to the tps.

PN on it is 1717211. I'm sure it is original as it fits very nicely over the valve, maybe it has been cut at some point - it sure is difficult to get to.
