i searched in threads and found how to remove the
grilles which i was already able to take off....
however, when i was trying to replace the high beams...
it seems like the cracked lens is ATTACHED to the whole
adjustment assembly....when i try to pry it off, the lamp started
to crack/break... PLEASE HELP. (i did remove the chrome bezel first)
can you help me out in this dillema...
or do i need to buy a whole new high beam assembly??
:(

It depends on your light assembly. AFAIK, the US versions are SEALED. The Euro ones (the smiley face looking ones) are the only ones that can be taken apart.

Eunique, we'll need to know your E34'w model and year (and country)?
North American E34's from about 91 onwards take a 9005 bulb for the sealed unit...you can't easily disassemble it (nor do you want to unless carefully cleaning the reflector...)

"HIGH beam replacement"
US or Euro, they're both one-piece setups. The only removable lens is on the euro low-beam.
You can chip out the glass and glue on a new one, some guy sells em on ebay... but I'd just replace the light, myself.

Huh? BMW just opened up my high-beams to clean the lenses. I have the Euro version.

i guess it's not going to work... that it's a sealed unit.
the lens is cracked... probably from stone chips (bought the car like that)
it's a 1992 525i US version (north america)
so, i'll just have to buy a new assembly. any input on where i can buy
one for cheap (less expensive)???
