I have a chance to get memory seat controls from a 1993 740i and was wondering if it was just plug and play into my 1992 535i or are there other things to consider like memory modules, motors and such? Anyone have any experience with this? I know I have the blank spot on the seat side control area but is there more to this that just plugging in the control switches? Thanks.

I put some in my e34 without the memory module, and they work "plug and play". If you want the memory option, then you have to put in extra cabling for it to work.

Did you put in the memory seats buttons option or no? This is what I have available to me but do not want to spend a lot of time rewiring the seats to make it work. Please clarify if it is really plug and play with these memory buttons on sides of seats. Thanks.

I do have the buttons on the driver's seat, but they are just not plugged in. I only plugged in the white harness on the bottom, and that gives power and control to move the seats.

Nice PDF, I never knew the reverse drop mirror funtion in the side mirror is cancelled by the L/R mirror switch... that's cool, as I don't always want it.
