Stated in jackson. Not sure where? it was in Lexington, Ky craigslist so it could be in jackson, KY.
Were they imported into the US or would this car need to be federalized?

Am recalling that because of the door structure I don't think you could even get them federalized for road use. Think they're off road use only (race tracks & such). Probably why it's only listed at $6k. That or it's a scam.

I emailed the guy asking where the car is located and he replied with "no local delivery".
I am not sure the car is in the uS. I replied that this must be scam if I am not even look at the vehicle.
All of the deals on craiglist that appear to be too good to be true and list the email address so prominently are scams. I think they are just hunting for email addresses to start spamming you. Also notice that they never show a pic of the car with a license plate so you can place it in a particular state or even the US for that matter.

Looking at the advert, the car would be located in Montreal. Canada has different regulations when it comes to importing older cars. I understand there is a 15 year rule (or somethin') where the car becomes considered an "antique" or a collectible item. But, that does not make this advert legit.

there are a few of these cars floating around Montreal. I have encountered them from time to time.

i am sure that those doors and a lack of a roof require a lot of bracing.
