Anyone use Dynolicious app on their iphone? This nifty little app can performed a timed run, including acceleration, 1/8 & 1/4 mile, and skid pad info.
You need to set the weight of your can and drivetrain loss. I used 3,505 lbs/ for my 525i automatic. (this is too low, I have changed it to 3,600 lbs) and I currently use 20% drivetrain loss.
Just playing around with a few acceleration runs learning to use it the best I got to date was 8.9 seconds for 0-60. The graph provided shows I let up at about 55 mph which cost me about 1/2 second. Factory brochure indicates 9.1 0-60 with an automatic. I have an EAT chip. Hopefully this is reasonably close. Just having fun.
I am pleased, but my testing does show how slow these cars are by current standards.
