M20 bottom end rebuild

Is there a post out there any where that out lines the start and breakdown on a piston ring job for this m20 motor? Thanks for the help.

M20 as in M20B25 or M20B27 used in the e30 3 series? That would be on e30tech.com

www.e30tech.com in the diy section there is an available download of the Bentley manual that outlines the procedure.
The Haynes Manual is lots cheaper and available in big box auto stores for $14.95.

I read, not sure how accurate it is but they say that the lower end bearings are individually fitted and they are not standard across all the bearings. Thus you need to draw a diagram of what size goes where (marked under the bearings) and you need to order the same sizes so it is a mix and match game. I guess these aren't chevies.
