Engine Mount question 89 525i (89) -help

I ordered the correct part number and the mounts arrived and they are round cylidrical things, the car has what looks like traingular shaped mounts, rechecked number on real OEM and they show what I got, what gives????

any ideas , I cant even find the kind I have , all crosses to number show the kind I recieved???

Round sound like tranny mounts

Not sure about the triangular mounts you have in there, but the round ones you received should be correct based on your part number. They should swap in fine.

yes the round ones were correct, someone in the past made a mistake, the difference is dramatic, no more vibration and is as I would suspect a car to feel that is in tune. The old tranny mounts were 3/8 inch shorter , the engine at least that and wrong ones to boot. actually the frames on the old one ( metal ) were right on the frame of the car, no wonder I felt every vibration
