Hey guys,
I have a 1995 E34 525i and I am wanting to replace my steering wheel. I have the wheel as depicted below:

It is the same wheel used in some E36s, as below:

I am wanting to replace my current wheel with the same "model" wheel, so it's not like I'm deactivating airbag functionality or anything like that, just a direct replacement with newer leather.
I haven't pulled off a steering wheel before, and am wanting to use my father-in-law's expertise (he's an ex-Ford mechanic) and he's asking me if I know if I need to use a steering wheel puller tool?
I don't think I do, isn't it just a case of disconnecting the battery, undo the torx bolts behind the wheel, pull out the airbag, undo the bolt in the middle, and pull off the wheel? Do you think I need a breaker bar?
Does anyone know of any comprehensive instructions on how to swap over the steering wheel? I have googled around but most if not all are about swapping a wheel for an E36, or a wheel for a 1990 E34, which I believe uses a completely different setup.
Thanks guys.
