Installing the Blaupunkt cd43 into my 94 530i

The question is: As the cd43 is plug and play, I assume it will use the factory amp?
I have the 10 speaker factory Bose system with the amp rated at 25 watts x 10=250 peak watts and am fine with the output.

I have the same one in my 1998 E36 M3, changed from the more simple C33. Nothing to complain.
Actually I bought the one for the Landrover/Mini. Only difference is the ilumination is greenish instead of the BMW colour and there is a Landrover logo on it, which I covered with an BMW M3 logo. The Landrover ones are usually cheaper than the ones from BMW, as not so much in demand. The advantage of the CD43 is also that one can switch to different country radio frequencies, so I could change to Japan frequencies, the C33 cannot be changed. As I bought an US version M3, the C33 is useless here in Japan.
Still have to sell it to someone in the US. Even have original owners manual and also the radio pass with code number of course, and I can guarantee: no pixel faults, I only changed it because of the difference in frequencies.

Just received mine, but it appears that the volume button has a slight sideways freeplay. Is this normal? I haven't installed it yet, so i don't know if is even functional. The person didn't double box it.
