I justr bought a 91 E34 n looking to either rebuilding the block or buy a new engine anyone know what i should do???/ i also want to know how much psi i can run a turbo on stock internals on the m50 engine

Modifying engine always cost money. If you really wanted power, you should have bought the M5 or 540i.

Cheap to do too, easier than M30 and more practical and more economical. I have M30, M50 and M60 in mine, the others are gret, but I think the M50 is the best motor out of all of them. Stock form is respectable, you just have to master the vacuum leaks on an old one.
Look up jonk's old posts he's been there and back several times with boosted M50s, plenty of info to help u plan.

Yes Jon went nuts on his car and yes the M50 can make a lot of power with turbo, still it isn't cheap and you need to do your homework.
If you are rebuilding your engine, get a set of lower compression pistons at least then it really depends how much power you want. And how much cash you have.
