E39 Touring Questions

I'm thinking about adding a 528iT to the fleet but would like to find one with a manual tranny. Did BMW import any 5 speed E39 Tourings into the U.S.? Best years to look for? Problem areas?

may be of little use but about the only manual e 39s you see here are the 528s(apart from the M5 of course)

Guess this isn't the best forum for E39 questions. Found out that there are a handful of 5 speed 528iTs & 525iTs in the U.S. A 2002 525iT with 5 speed & only 74K
was for sale in northern VT last month but I found out about it a few weeks too late. Lots & lots of E39 540iTAs for sale out there if anyone is looking.

Saw this gem last week. I really enjoyed my E39 sedan and would love to have a manual E39 Touring if I didn't already have a 5 speed E34 T!
