Code 1224 1990 525i m20

Swapped out MAS and still getting code. Checked all intake hoses for cracks or leaks, checked coolant temp sensor etc. Car dies immediately upon hot start up, then runs very sluggish. When apply partial throttle input car wants to die out any ideas, thinking maybe idle control valve?

did you check the crankshaft position sensor? 540 Ohm plus/minus 10%

I had a problem with an M20 that was stalling for no reason, and the cranshaft position sensor wires were being cut by the pulley and sometimes shorted out.
Check the wires.
