Alright gents...Time to start an on going thread that people can come in and chime on as to what they did to their car today. This can range anywhere from washing it to changing out the engine. It would be great if you can add pictures (where applicable) or tell us the brand of the part you used.
I would sure like to tell you that I did something great to mine, but you can't really accomplish much on crutches! haha!
My near future plans will be to get some new rubber though as mine seem to be shot.
Let the postings begin! :)

This week I changed my oil, Mahle oil filter and 10w40 Valvoline Maxlife and Lubro-Moly oil saver. Hope to stop/slow down a leak. Replaced my dash cluster (dot matrix died) and bulbs and changed my airfilter -Mann.

Had a wheel alignment today after replacing front discs and pads, new tyres all around and Eibach springs in the last couple of months.
Sadly Ive come away seeing the datasheet lists the car as a "1990 E34 touring with standard suspension" when its a 535is with Boge shocks and Eibach's !

Not sure how relavent the oil was to my oil leak but ever since I have been running Mobil 1 10-40 High Mileage oil my oil leak has dramatically decreased to border line non existent! And this has happened with no addition of any sort of additive.
Food for thought.

That is why I am using Maxlife. May try the Mobil 1 next time. I am also going to verify the source of the leak next time it is on a lift. I think it is the oil pan gasket,

Just curious if you have changed valve cover gasket yet?

Oil + filter change to 5w-50 and changed the Petrol gauge in the instrument cluster after having the fuel sender/pump assembly out 10 times to clean and find out why it was so erratic, turned out to be the Petrol gauge that had burned out!

Sure. I changed it this summer with a Felpro when I changed my plugs. Did not see any leaks around the gasket belore or after. My oil leak preceded the gasket replacement. However, I will check again, espcially on the intake side.

Didn't do a damn thing to it this week which was a relief after screwing with the instrument cluster on & off for a month. Just got in the new rear subframe mounts from BMA so the brief vacation will soon be over.

Haven't done a thing lately to the E34, it never breaks or rarely anyway. Went through the transmission on the e46 as the last big thing.

Yesterday I finished a gearbox swap on the e36 318is. Newer box = feels and works like new. :) Just in time for a nice drive this weekend.

Picked up luggage net. Also, ordered 1 vent o-ring from Germany but received a box full. LOL... I have spare if anyone needs one.

Rick your car is sooo clean! That luggage net seems like a great addition!
May I ask what a O-ring vent is?

Thanks. Yes, definitely good addition. O-ring is for the passenger side vent for the door. See circle in red. When I took this picture, I noticed the rubber o-ring was missing. This part was not available in the states so I needed to order from Germany. Now I have a box full in the states. LOL...

E46: Removed clutch delay valve. Using pressure bleeder made bleeding easy. Also, polished lip with Mother’s Billet (this stuff works great). Fine scratches on the lip are all gone. And washed both E34 and E46…

Washed the e34, start on passenger rear window regulator repair. Had to remove door panel to get window up. Looks like I need to replace regulator and motor. Shame it is all revited on.
Think I discovered the source of my oil leak. May be related to my vanos oil line or oil canister gasket. Still watching.
I forgot, installed an e38 RC auto-dim mirror a few weeks ago. Followed the guidelines that "Q" posted a couple of years ago.

Now its coming into summer having the drivers side vents blow only hot air was starting to get annoying !
Saw the local pick-a-part had an e32 735 in so went there yesterday spent 30 mins removing the heater taps and control panel (just in case) paid NZD16.0 for the pair, got home swapped the heater valves over in 10 mins, and now I have hot and cold air only a twirl of the wheel away again :)
Also picked up a mint interior light panel by the sunroof and two sunvisor lights for $18. Mine had a crack on the middle which had 'glazed' and one of the map lights wouldnt work on the doors opening so thats sorted now too.
Its been a long time since Ive been to a wrecker to get my own parts and I had so much fun I think Im going to make it a monthly event.

hi Rick, how did you lower the front so much?, I have Eibach Pro springs and still have at least an inch of wheel well. That looks great, I am a little jealous.
