Is the fabric for the headliner portion of the sunroof glued on after it folds around the inner sunroof panel, or is it clipped?
Saw a thread talking about clips for it. The fabric on mine has fallen completely off the front edge of the inner panel. Trying to find out how it should be re-attached.
Thanks.

it is glued at least on my E32, only clips are where the interior light is, see my website below under headliner repair.
Here you can see the clips on the E34 Touring
Roof trim-headlining moulded/handle BMW 5' E34, 525i (M50) (http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/E34/Touring/Europe/525i-M50/LHD/A/1995/june/browse/vehicle_trim/roof_trim_headlining_moulded_handle/)
Usually the 3mm foam in between the headliner material and the board just disintegrated and that causes the headliner to fall down.

What glue do you recommend? I assume that just a thin coat on the fabric will do the trick?

yes, but it must be clean and the old stuff has to be removed. In Germany you could buy
KLEBER:
Pattex Classic
hochwärmefest, beständig bis 120°C

they are specialized on headliners for older cars
