Play in water pump shaft

Hi all I currently have some play in my water pump saft, I plan on replacing this when I can my question is can I stil use the car for say a week for aprox 30 miles, I have no coolant loss or overheating.

If it is not leaking, yes. I had a waterpump like that too... and it lasted a year or so before it started leaking.

Mine has had play for almost 100K, not excessive but noticeable if you look for it.
