Here's the thing...My 95 525iT came with no ambient temp sensor whatsoever. The entire thing had been ripped out. I have since bought a new sensor but obviously there's no place to plug it into. In fact all I have is bunch of wires coming down from the OBC. One has an end that looks like a computer mouse plug, and then there's another group of wiring that has 4 wires coming from it. Is there any way to connect the sensor without the female end? I have checked all the scrap yards for miles around and nothing. Can the female be found online anywhere? I have looked to no avail. Does anyone have any 411 that could possibly help?
Thx in advance,

You will find your wiring diagram here:
Free Phone System Manuals Voice Communications 800 593-6000 (http://www.wedophones.com/BMWManualsLead.htm)
The outside wires for the sensor eminates from the harness near the driver's side headlights. You'll be looking for a yellow connector with two wires, a brown one and a blu/red/yl.
I probably have an appropriate connector if you need one to splice in once the wires are found. E-mail through forum if so.

Thanks. Yunno I am so naturally against going to the overpriced dealer for anything that sometimes I simply don't remember to consider them as a source, period. But in this case it makes sense. I mean how much could they possible charge for plug connector? Right?
thx a million,

From experience is know that the dealer is often cheaper than the famous online shops when it comes to special BMW parts, as they also have to buy from BMW. I have made the experience quite often.
And in case you cannot find a dealer in your area, Tischer BMW has an online parts shop and they even give up to 20- 35% on MSRP.
