m30 exhaust manifold.. should I or should I not install on the head before mounting

Getting ready to re-install my sons M30 head. 735i 1991 e32. Was wondering can you install the head and intake manifold together and then after the head is on install the exhaust manifolds? I was thinking it would be a little lighter and you would have better vision of where to place the head.

Yes. Simpler to the lower intake manifold bolts if you do prior to dropping in the head. Exhaust can go on after the head.
