My mpg has been dropping like a brick. This car never had an O2 sensor so we can discount that. I ran a DIS diagnostic expecting maybe a faulty coolant or air intake temp sensor fault. I kept losing data connection with the engine running but these are static (hot):
Engine speed: 0 rpm
Ignition timing: 0 deg cr
Injection sig cyl.1: 0.00 ms
Engine temperature: 86 deg C
Intake air temp: 34 deg C
Air flow mass sensor: 1.89V
Load signal: 1.5ms
Throttle valve:
-position : Part load or engine off
-potentiometer: 0.5V
I think the above shows the coolant and IAT sensors are working properly. I got a brief readout at idle (720rpm) and the engine temp was up to 92 deg C. But it was still showing an injector signal of zero. So the question is, am I still in open loop and running as if cold? Or just not reading the injector signal?
