Have not completely tested the theory but... During a rapid decelereation (90mph-60mph) I got the transmission program code. Restarting the car cleared and no code since (2 days). Do not really want to repeat to see if it happens again.
It is the end of winter here and there are a couple of things to mention.
Snow tires
No clue if it is "winter" or "summer" formula gas.
Car was warm - freeway driving
Any thoughts?

Perhaps the transmission valve body is clogged, and the computer realized that quick enough gear change did not occur.

I'd probably do a transmission fluid flush job just to make sure the fluid and filter is clean. Otherwise, I might say it may be the speed sensor.

It is possible wheelspin or odd tyre wear could cause this. I am thinking specifically of your winter tyres. But if you really are curious, get the TCM codes read.
