I've posted about a few things and the latest is an "odd overheating but not really" listed above.
This AM I decided to hook up the code scanner and drive to work with it on and I monitored the coolant temperature. The temp was good and normal is 198º. When I stopped at the deli, and sat and idled, it was 207º. 5 minute stop for my sandwich and the temp was down to 198º. On the way to work, fairly normal again and then sat at work and idled it. The temp was 207º at 772-784RPMs. I turned on the AC and it went up to 214º (just wanted another test). I checked the hoses and the top was very hot, the bottom was cooler but still pretty hot and the overflow tank was a few inches low.
I still think I need to purge some air out of it.
What is the normal operating temperature i should be looking at on the scanner?
Temp gauge had needle at 12:00 for the duration of the drive.
