From AndrewBird: A few weeks back I rented the tools to work on the vanos on my M50. I took some measurements and made some drawings of them so they could be replicated if anyone felt ambitious. I also included a drawing of the one-piece style cam lock tool described in the Haynes manual.
Right click -----> Save as.

Here is my one-piece tool and my simplified flywheel lock pin that I made:

Made the locking block from 3/8" thick aluminum.
