Dad had one for a bit when I was born, also had a 58 Chysler Saratoga when I was little, you needed an army to park that thing. He later had a 340 Dart and is co-owner of a 440 Dart that's in the process of being rebuilt.

In HS I had a Dart with a 225. You could drain all of the oil out of it and it would still run. :P Graduated to a 340 Duster that kept the GEICO shareholders happy.

I like the Accura TL, the Dodge Hemi Magnum or Chrysler Hemi 300.

I like the Magnum most because it is versitle and perhaps somewhat like an M5T.

Other possibilities would include a diesel VW either Passat or Jetta Wagon.

I kinda miss my first car, a 1967 Saab 96 Monte Carlo. This was the one with the 850cc three cylinder, two stroke engine with the oil reservior. It boasted about 46hp and went about 70 mph, down a hill, with a tail wind! :p

Later, I had a 1974 Saab Sonnett which was an awesome little two seater with a fiberglass body and the flip-up headlights, really cool! I think I've seen the V4 engines (1700cc and 65hp) from these on industrial woodchoppers. Ahhh, those were the days. :)

the 6.9 like in the pic is the 116 body i've known a few owners and they confirm that it'll do 160 as long as you keep gas in it, it's got something like a 12-14 quart dry sump oiling system, the 6.3 is the next car older the 108 with the over and under headlights, it runs a mechanical injection pump like a 2002 tii, the 6.9 has cis injection (ugh) the adjustable hydrallic suspension is fun, knew a guy that had a beat up 6.3 he'd pull the knob and raise it up and go mud riding

my 1st car was a hand me down 75 240d 115, the 115 is the refined newer version of the 114, no wing windows, bigger bumpers, wider grill and bigger motors are the only real differences, 76 was the last 115 i think 72 was the last 114. watch for floor/trunk rust on any old benz, around the bottoms of the fenders too, diesel engine rebuilds can be expensive, and absolutly stay away from that godawlful dohc inline 6 cylinder, the sohc 6 is a great motor sorta like a benz m30
