On my '95 Ben 525I the driver side does not blow as cold as the passenger side.the only time it does is when the defrost lever is on, and at the same time the driver side defrost vents blow hot while the passenger side defrost vents blow cold. The a/c compressor has been replaced and the clutch fan as well. Freon has been checked.... no leaks and psi is good. Any help would be much appreciated. Next step is the dealer $$$$

Sounds a lot like a heater tap fault or possibly a problem with the face vent hot/cold wheel.

read these threads, I assume you have problems with the flaps or the stepper motors

It's your heater valve. Try testing it by clamping it off at the inlet tube going into it. This will be the tube closet to the firewall that leads from the engine and into the valve. Turn on your AC and see if it still blows hot air. If it doesn't, the valve is stuck open and letting hot water into your heater coils behind the dash, and not regulating the amount for temperature control. You need to replace the heater valve. Let me know if this doesn't work.
