530i won't start

My mother has a 1994 530i with about 175k miles. Last Sun I turned the car on, let it idle for about 30 sec, and drove it into the garage. Next day, the engine won't turn over. This happened 6 months ago and the garage she took it to replaced the spark plugs. My husband removed the spark plugs to find them fouled out with oil. The oil on the plugs was greater on those nearest to the interior compartment, but all 8 had some oil. After cleaning the area and changing the plugs, the car still will not turn over. What is going on? My husband is good with domestic cars, but this is our first experience with BMW engines?

if it wont turn over that has nothing to do with plugs, do you mean it turns and wont start or it wont do anythink like a dead battery?

It turns and is doesn't start. It is definitely not the battery
