Any personal info on a 2003 BMW 540I M Sport ?

I need to know how reliable are they and how many miles are they good for ...is it like a e34 250,000+miles

one owner car w/ 96613 and immaculate...is there a way to decode the vin for proof?

the cooling system is a bit crappier then a e34, window regulators are worse, same oil separator issue on the back of the intake, ball joints and bushings are about the same but no built in death wobble, the maf will fail as will the abs module, so will the fuel pump. some are hermetically sealed and others leak fluids like its a design feature, it its a stick the clutch is crap and needs a single mass conversion and delay valve delete. if blower motor dies the dash needs to come out but its not horrible, but also most of the time its the easily replaceable power stage (regulator/resistor/speed control) if motor doesn't work ground the heatsink and if the regulator is bad the motor will kick into high. front struts don't seem to last long but the rears seem to last forever.
ain't touched one in the almost 6 years ive changed to working at a buick/gmc dealer so my data may be incomplete

being a fan of a pump action automobile i understand, but thats not a horrible one, probably faster then the stick, if i was gonna buy a e39 id do a m5, its got enough power to make the stick fun, the 540 is kinda heavy and driveline is rubbery for 280hp, its not tossable. i was actively shopping e39 m5s a year or two ago after my m6 got totaled by a nozzle on a camery on a cell phone and they all seem to be in the rust belt or west coast, so ya gotta edge
